The relion brand meter and strips (sold only online) are 22$ for 50 strips- a steal.http://www.relion.com/diabetes/blood_glu…
Wolfman, do you have insurance? It should be covered under your insurance plan. My supplies are covered. I pay $1.00 for testing stripes and lancets.
where can i get that insurance!!! i pay $800 a month on my family plan of HMO and still have a $50 co payment for month supply. to answer your question im my state which is MA the Diabetic Association of America can give you a month supply for free. only one time other than that without my insurance its $186 for 100 test strips (1 month supply for me) you can also check online services. try this company you do need a prescription tho http://www.canadianpharmacymeds.com/
Try the manufactor of your meter..some have programs for people that have their meters. Johnson and Johnson has a program and so does Bayer. I am not sure about the others.
I see the person that posted before me suggested Canada and that is where I get some of my medicine. The other is Mexicohttp://www.mexmeds4you.com/home.asp
I get my diabetes medicine there and there is no prescription needed. I buy my Actos there. Less money than the US.
Make sure you get insurance, this will lower the cost of test strips.
Second of all make sure you don’t buy el cheapo test strips as they be in-correct and give you false information.
Try going to discount pharmacies and seeing if they have any discount name brands strips.
I’m sure you’ll find some eventually, it’s just a question of when.
Good Luck.
