What website can i log on to have more data on having brown rice in my diet for my diabetes? HELP!

Answer
Brown rice has starch alright and that is broken down to sugar as soon as it gets to your stomach.

The advantage of brown rice is that it has not had its outside seed coat completely removed like white rice. This means that it is much higher in fiber and several other nutrients like magnesium.

This fiber slows down the absorption of the sugar in the intestine. The sugar gets absorbed but not all at once producing a peak need for insulin.

Hope that helps.
