Answer
blood pressure has nothing to do with diabetes. if you borrow your aunt or grandpas glucometer and prick your finger for a test.
these symptoms sound like diabetes.
symptoms of typical diabetes are usually being rlly thirsty, getting sick alot, peeing alot, getting dizzy, having a weird tingly feeling at the back of your throat an being reallly tired.
look i know this must seem really scary. Ive been there trust me.
but if you go to a docter they’ll give you treatment. your not gunna die believe me. diabetics live perfectly normal lives and it wont even come near to kill you if you control it.
you really have to go to a docter though. untreated diabetes has been known to kill, and sometimes even if it doesnt they need to amputate dead nerves. The best way to avoid this is to catch it early so plzzzz go to a docter. its worth the cost.
good luck <3

These are definately not the symptoms of diabeties. It sounds like you have some sort of anxiety disorder. I would definately see a doctor about that.

You might think it’s useless, but to keep your mind at ease if you are having thaty many problems.Go see a doctor is your best bet.

First, if someone in your family has diabetes and lives near you, ask them to check your blood sugar reading when you are feeling sick/shaky. When you eat you say you feel sick. If you are eating too many carbs, that could be a side effect. Try to make sure you stay away from sugary soda, pasta, bread, and other starchy foods. That causes a quick rise in blood sugar, which causes heart palpitations, and may feel like it is hard to breathe.
Secondly, find out if your state has a low income program for people without insurance. Go to http://www.money-zine.com/Financial-Plan… and check for your state. If you are screened for diabetes, you are considered a person with disability and may qualify under your state’s program for a free blood sugar test kit, doctor visits, medication and testing supplies.
Since you are not overweight, until you are tested, you can follow the guidelines below and keep a journal of what you eat and when you feel the symptoms, to see if the symptoms ease up by eating sensibly (every 4 hours), combining protein and good carbs in the ratio I suggest, and avoiding sugar, simple carbs, caffeine and alcohol. Sleep patterns are noted in your journal too. As a 19 year old, often you want to party into the wee hours. As a diabetic, it is critical you get at least 2 hours before midnight, and 5 hours after midnight in almost every night. Journal your sleep patterns too.
The best rule is to eat 60% non starchy vegetables, 25% protein and 15% complex carbs at every meal. Meals should be every 3-4 hours when awake. No caffeine, ever.
Losing circulation in hands or feet is called neuropathy. When it is caused by diabetes, it is called diabetic neuropathy. Sometimes you lose circulation; other times you get needles or buzzing, or a cardboard or weak feeling.
Do you wake up during the night often? Does your urine smell sweet or like ammonia? Do you find you are terribly thirsty? Have to pee more and more often? Do you have vision changes (things are blurry or out of focus more now than in the past)? Do you sleep after every meal? You mentioned you are losing weight without even trying. That is also a symptom.
There is one quick blood test you can do. You can buy a home test kit for around $20-30 to check your average blood sugar for a three month time period. The name of the test you do at home is the HgA1c test. It is a one time test. If the blood sugar reading is greater than 6, you are diabetic. Less than 6, you are not diabetic.
The good news is that you can control type ii diabetes (sometimes without meds) by changing your food combining, frequency, and being conscious of your disease, if you have diabetes. You must test, though. That is most important. Next, do not smoke or drink.
The problems that can occur if blood sugar is too high or too low are pretty scary: high blood sugar can cause diabetic coma, glaucoma, total loss of sight, organ failure or even death. Low blood sugar can cause tingling around the mouth, shakes, dizziness, panic attacks, moodiness or confusion. Hypoglycemia is the “other side” of diabetes, and often leads to diabetes.
Finally, check at your local library for How To books such as Diabetes For Dummies. You are one of the lucky ones. You asked for help. You can learn to live with diabetes if you are consciously aware of the symptoms and signs, and take precautions. Keep a packet of raw almonds with you at all times. Drink lots of pure water. Buy glucose tablets and keep them on hand when you get really shaky. If you eat protein (raw nuts are a good protein source) every 3-4 hours and drink enough water, you should avert the shakes.
Good luck; I wish you well!

First of all you dont have a lot of the classic symtoms — yes the thirst issue is one but there are a lot more and a family history of diabetes is not in your favour
Sores that take forever to heal
    Blurred vision
Lower extremities issues like poor circulation especially in the lower legs and feet
    constant headaches
    weakness / tired
    dizziness
Best to see a doctor right away —– simple tests can determine if you are diabetic —— the downside of not seeing a doctor to control the diabetes can be life threatening
    Such as
    blindness
    impotence
    amputation of limbs and feet
    kidney failure for advanced cases
    stroke etc
SEE A DOCTOR AND PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE
Diabetes is easily treated and can be controlled by diet and or medication —- for type 1 diabetes insulin
    Good luck

If your weight is 78 pounds then you are very underweight. You really need to see a doctor who can examine you and run test to see if you have any health problems, I do not think you have diabetes as these seem to be more like ones associated with anxiety. If you really think you may have diabetes then you need to see a doctor who will measure your blood GLUCOSE level which is a better indicator of diabetes than blood pressure. No one on here can tell if you are diabetic or what if anything is wrong with you please see a doctor and get it sorted out please.

  • che says:

None of this sounds like undiagnosed diabetes.
Dizziness and shakiness are symptoms of hypoglycemia, something an untreated diabetic cannot have.
Though it is something an anorexic can have.
Poor circulation is also a symptom of an eating disorder, it is only a symptom of diabetes after decades of poor to decent care.
Everything screams eating disorder, go see your doctor or just start eating more. You may feel sick but soon enough your body will adapt and you will feel much better.
I, too went through something similar to this so message me or something if you think it could help.

If you’re 5’2 and 78 pounds I’d be more worried about anorexia than diabeetes. lol jk. I think you’re safe because when it comes to diabeetes either you are born with it and you know it right away (that’s called Type 1 diabeetes) or you get it later on in life by eating waaaay too much sugar and getting really fat (Type 2 diabeetes). At 78 lbs, I think you’re safe. There’s a lot of reasons people have panick attacks; I dont think diabeetes is the most common. Hope I helped!
