Symptoms 4 Diabetes?

November 29th, 2009 § Tags: , Posted in Diabetes Symptoms § § 5 comments

My doctor did a glucose tolerance test as part of routine health checks. He discovered I have impaired glucose tolerance. Apparently this could lead to type 2 diabetes if I’m not careful with my diet, weight and exercise. I’ve got no symptoms, and no family history of it.
For a fact sheet, see the attached link.
“Common symptoms include:
* Being more thirsty than usual
* Passing more urine
* Feeling tired and lethargic
* Always feeling hungry
* Having cuts that heal slowly
* Itching, skin infections
* Blurred vision
* Unexplained weight loss (Type 1)
* Gradually putting on weight (Type 2)
* Mood swings
* Headaches
* Feeling dizzy
* Leg cramps”

    Thirsty, frequent urination, fatigue, cuts or places that do not heal well. See a doctor if these are happening or there is a family history. Perhaps they will at least order blood work and screen for diabetes, cholesterol, thyroid problems.

  • Type 1 or 2. With type 1 you go into a coma. With type 2 you are fat, fat, fat. Are you fat? Do you urinate a lot? See site below under exercise to cure type 2. Type 1 you have as a kid. You are born with type 1, you do not get it.
