diabetes is contagious if you come in contact with the blood or mucus of the infected. stay away from them and make sure that they wash their hands before they prepare food for you but your probably going to get it and die of seizures which is a main symptom

To get diabetes you eat alot of sugar. diabetes is a disease when you’re blood sugar is either too high or too low. You have a limited amount of snacks. My friend has it and when she feels low she goes and gets some juice apparently because it has sugar. Usually to avoid it DON’T EAT THAT MUCH SUGAR!!!

look it up on a website, it should explain, usually if it’s type 1 they take shots and it’s something you were born with.
type 2, is usually from being overweight and eating wrong.
My son is 14 and he’s had it since he was 11.

Diabetes is a disease where your body doesn’t produce enough insulin. Thats like the sugars or staches your eat don’t convert to energy. There is two types of diabetes though. And it’s not contageous so you can’t get it by like sharing stuff with someone that has diabetes. Diabetes just develops. Signs for diabetes are stuff like a big weight loss, and attitude change. It’s a genetic disease, so people who’s parents had/have diabetes might be at high risk. It’s also known as a disease of affluence… People who are overweight are at high risk of getting diabetes. Also, people who don’t eat healthy are at risk. There are two different types of diabetes… Links which explain them are posted below. It has to do with the amount of sugar in your blood. I don’t really know all about it, but I heard that sometimes the pancreas doesn’t release enough insulin to metabolize the sugar. I also heard that the insulin receptors on the cell membranes can become desensitized to insulin, and therefore, malfunction, leaving all that sugar in your blood for your kidneys to deal with, instead of metabolizing it. From what I understand, it can’t be cured. It’s a disease that must be managed. I’ve seen people go blind and lose their feet because of the mismanagement of diabetes.
I’m at high risk and am now eating a lot of raw veggies. Eventually, I’ll probably go completely sugar free. Remember, just because something says it is “sugar free” on the label doesn’t mean that it is actually sugar free. Front labels are useless and usually full of lies. What Is Diabetes?
Diabetes is a disease that affects how the body uses glucose (say: gloo-kose), a sugar that is the body’s main source of fuel. Like a CD player needs batteries, your body needs glucose to keep running. Here’s how it should work.
1. You eat.
2. Glucose from the food gets into your bloodstream.
3. Your pancreas makes a hormone called insulin (say: in-suh-lin).
4. Insulin helps the glucose get into the body’s cells.
5. Your body gets the energy it needs.
The pancreas is a long, flat gland in your belly that helps your body digest food. It also makes insulin. Insulin is kind of like a key that opens the doors to the cells of the body. It lets the glucose in. Then the glucose can move out of the blood and into the cells.
But if someone has diabetes, the body either can’t make insulin or the insulin doesn’t work in the body like it should. The glucose can’t get into the cells normally, so the blood sugar level gets too high. Lots of sugar in the blood makes people sick if they don’t get treatment.
Type 1 Diabetes
There are two major types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2.
In type 1 diabetes (which used to be called insulin-dependent diabetes or juvenile diabetes), the pancreas can’t make insulin. The body can still get glucose from food. But the glucose can’t get into the cells, where it’s needed. Glucose stays in the blood. This makes the blood sugar level very high and causes health problems. To fix the problem, someone who has type 1 diabetes needs to take insulin through regular shots or an insulin pump.
Type 2 diabetes is different from type 1 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, the pancreas still makes insulin. But the insulin doesn’t work in the body like it should and blood sugar levels get too high.
No one knows for sure what causes type 1 diabetes, but scientists think it has something to do with genes. Genes are like instructions for how the body should look and work that are passed on by parents to their kids. But just getting the genes for diabetes isn’t usually enough. Something else has to happen — like getting a virus infection — for a person to get type 1 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes can’t be prevented. Doctors can’t even tell who will get it and who won’t.

The glucose then circulates in your blood where it waits to enter cells to be used as fuel. Insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas, helps move the glucose into cells. A healthy pancreas adjusts the amount of insulin based on the level of glucose. But, if you have diabetes, this process breaks down, and blood sugar levels become too high.There are two main types of full-blown diabetes. People with Type 1 diabetes are completely unable to produce insulin. People with Type 2 diabetes can produce insulin, but their cells don’t respond to it. In either case, the glucose can’t move into the cells and blood glucose levels can become high. Over time, these high glucose levels can cause serious complications.

Its when the body doesnt produce Insulin to keep sugar levels balanced… Therefore eating too much sweet food everyday will mean that allot of insulin will be produced so your pancrease will start to not work properly therefore doesnt produce insulin. Some people will control Diabetes with a diet whereas some will need to inject insulin everyday to keep their sugar levels low.
Diabetes is mostly inherited…my 2 grandpas have diabetes (one was blinded by it) and both my grans have it and so do my parent so i have a high chance in having it.
Symptoms are needing to go to the toilet alot, Feeling very thirsty all the time or fainting sometimes

Diabetes is a disease that affects the body’s ability to use blood sugar for energy. There are different types of diabetes, gestational, type1 or type 2.
Some symptoms can be increased thirst and urination, blurred vision, and fatigue. You cant tell from symptoms alone you have to be tested for it. To avoid it, you have to be on a good diet always, and it would be necessary since it runs in your family.

There are three types, and three causes of diabetes.
1: The body’s immune system destroys the body’s insulin, genetic.
2: The body has insufficient insulin, caused by obesity and is genetics makes more probable.
3: Caused by consuming too many carbohydrates during pregnancy, genetics makes more probable.
All three are often carried through the family, so if a lot of people in your family have diabetes, it’s important to have a healthy lifestyle.

Diabetes is hereditary therefore you have a possibility of getting – not depending on what you look like. Diabetes is when the pancreas of the body stops producing insulin. There is type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. I can’t remember which one was which, but one type if when your pancreas completely shuts down and the other you get at a later age where your pancreas can’t full function by itself. The symptoms can vary from frequent urination, to constant hunger, fatigue, blurred vision. A simple blood sugar test can decipher whether you have diabetes or not.

Diabetes it’s a disease when your body doesn’t produce enough insulin. And insulin is neaded to burn the sugar in your body..
It is not clear how people get dieabetes, scientist are working on that. but there are still some reasons such as very low imunity, or genetics,or if you are too emotional, and were worring about something too much.
I know for a fact thaqt genetics should be involved in diabetes, but it doesn’t always mean that if your father is diabetic you will also get it. Genes work in a very strange way, it might be that your grandchild might get or even not, you can never tell that.
Generally there are no symptoms of getting diabetes, when you notice those symptoms you already have dieabetes. such symptoms are: constant thirst, hunger, rapid weight loss, feeling tired, goint in bathroom too often..
If you worry that much about it, you can go to doctor and check you blood suger once in every year, in that case you will be sure you don’t have it.
