I just found out I have diabetes, and while I was testing this morning my teenage son wanted to test his blood for “fun”. I probably shouldn’t have did it; but I did. It shocked me that his fasting was 113 and he is only 16 in good weight, & shape on the swim team at school and his last meal was at 8pm last night of 6 grilled shrimp on 2 scwers, broccoli, and white rice(he didn’t touch) I asked him if he ate yet this morning and he was just then was pouring cereal. This level concerns me. Do I take him to the Doc? Is that a normal level for a teenage boy? I keep looking on line and can’t find the answer.
