Your doctor will decide on what treatment to start with, but ultimately, diet choices are up to the patient. The healthier the diet, the better. Eat lots of salads, and have lean meats, not fatty ones, avoid processed foods, white flours, and junk food, and also cut way back on fruit...
Eat less, exercise more. A good way to loose weight is to stay away from the "white foods". This includes potatoes (chips, fries, ect.), do not eat fries foods, eat lots of fresh vegetables (it is healthier than canned, less sodium and sugars), eat whole grain foods (whole wheat bread, whole grain cereals), bake your meats instead, don't use gravy, and if possible invest in a george forman grill....
